1980 Plymouth Gran Fury Police Interceptor
Kelvin Jones has supplied us with a photo and some
information he thought would be of interest to readers.
This 1980 Plymouth Gran Fury Police Interceptor is an
ex-R.C.M.P. car. We are told it boasts a high performance
360, 727 automatic with low gear blockout, 60/40 seats,
push bars, pursuit suspension (the full police package),
and dual exhaust.
Kelvin tells us the car is all original and is one of the
nicest driver's cars made. It may be plain, he says, but
friends from the R.C.M.P. when he worked at a border
crossing could get out 125 mph. Kelvin's philosophy is
"Unless people want a new 4-cylinder front wheel
drive, these cars will become the last Mopar
Missiles"
